One last snapshot of the main street of Clermont-Ferrand, where I spent so much of my time, even in the hours before my departure. I have mixed feelings about my two years as an expat in France, but I think living outside of Paris has allowed me to really discover the real France, and its less known sights. Like this street! While I am definitely looking forward the new challenges that await me back home in Montreal, A part of me will miss this life. Tonight I leave Clermont-Ferrand after two years here, and I will be spending one last night in my favourite place in France, Annecy, before I fly out of Lyon on Thursday. Au revoir Clermont!

One last sunset in paradise. ☀ My time in Tenerife was rejuvenating and incredibly welcome after almost a year of non-stop travel. This island offers so much more than just resorts, and I could have easily spent a month there and still not see everything. What I appreciated the most though, on my all-too-short stay, was this laid-back vibe of the Spaniards. Siestas and leisury lunches were more very much had! And with sunsets like this, it's hard to complain about, well, anything, really. This trip also marked the last of my time in Europe, and in the next few days I will he making my way back home to Montreal, permanently. Stay tuned! ;-)

One of the things I love the most about Tenerife is the fact that it's a volcanic island: meaning that the beaches are made of the blackest sand (which gets very hot!) and also, a dark, dramatic coastline that creates a gorgeous contrast again the turquoise waters of the Atlantlic. Quite the lovely sight, no?

Tenerife, La Isla Amable? I have no trouble believing that. I already mentioned that I venture out the resort quite frequently to explore the local villages and cultural highlights, and not once was I disappointed. Paradisiac scenery, perfect weather and more-than-welcoming inhabitants just waiting for a visitor to strike up a Spanglish conversation are just the norm here. Also, the local beer, Dorado, is delicious. Definitely a bonus point! 🍺
